Title: NASIMS Begins Disbursement of Long-Awaited Stipends to Npower Batch C2 Beneficiaries
In a long-awaited development, the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has kickstarted the payment process for outstanding stipends to beneficiaries of the Federal Government Npower Programme. The move comes as a relief to Batch C Stream 2 Npower participants who have been eagerly awaiting their overdue payments.
Cross River Hub, a reliable source for such news, reported that NASIMS, the branch under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development responsible for the Npower Programme, has initiated the disbursement process. This significant step is in alignment with NASIMS’ recent transition to a new Self-Service Portal (SSP), namely ssp.nasims.gov.ng.
The introduction of the SSP Portal aims to streamline the management of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), providing beneficiaries with easy access to a range of services. Most notably, this includes the seamless disbursement of stipend payments, facilitated by the portal’s advanced features.
With the implementation of the SSP Portal, Npower beneficiaries can now anticipate receiving their stipends concurrently. They also gain real-time insights into their payment status, such as “processing,” “completed,” or “failed payments,” all within their personalized NASIMS SSP Profile.
Moreover, NASIMS is proactively addressing the backlog of outstanding stipend payments for the months of October, November, and December 2022. This initiative extends to the recently shortlisted Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries who successfully completed the validation process in June and early July 2023.
While beneficiaries can anticipate the payment to reflect in their bank accounts, it’s important to note that the timing may vary due to the use of different bank accounts. Although the payment initiation takes place simultaneously, the processing time could differ from one bank to another, with an estimated maximum processing time of 48 hours.
In light of these developments, patience is being strongly advised among beneficiaries to ensure a smooth disbursement process and minimize undue stress.
Beneficiaries are urged to stay informed about the status of their stipend payment by actively monitoring the new Self-Service Portal. This approach allows them to track which months have been fully paid, are in the processing stage, or may have encountered payment-related issues. This level of transparency helps in reducing anxiety and facilitating prompt reporting of any discrepancies, which can be lodged through the NASIMS SSP Portal or verified Npower social media channels.
The commencement of stipend disbursement marks a significant stride towards ensuring timely and transparent welfare support for Npower beneficiaries. With the streamlined system in place, beneficiaries can look forward to smoother experiences and more efficient interactions with the NASIMS platform.
