The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially unlocked its digital recruitment platform for the 2026 employment cycle, welcoming qualified citizens to submit applications for entry-level positions spanning Grade Levels 07, 08, 09, 10, and 12.

Prospective candidates are invited to complete their submissions through the commission’s designated online portal by registering an applicant profile, filling out the required forms, and uploading scanned copies of all necessary academic and professional credentials.

    Qualification Criteria

To qualify for consideration, candidates must meet specific criteria depending on the cadre:

    • Degree and Professional Requirements: Applicants targeting graduate-level positions must possess a bachelor’s degree—or its equivalent—alongside a master’s degree in a relevant academic discipline from an accredited tertiary institution where applicable. Professional certifications from recognized bodies such as the Nigerian Bar Association, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, or Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria are also required. Additionally, candidates must show at least two years of post-qualification experience, hold a National Youth Service Corps discharge or exemption certificate, and demonstrate proficiency in data analytics, communications, problem-solving, and information and communications technology.

    • Non-Degree Roles: For positions requiring alternative qualifications, applicants must present a National Certificate in Education or an equivalent credential from a recognized institution, supported by sound computer literacy, data-handling capabilities, and organizational aptitude.

    • General Conditions: Every candidate must provide a valid certificate of state of origin endorsed by the chairman or secretary of their local government authority, and obtain a certification of physical and mental wellness from a government-employed medical practitioner. Applicants must not exceed 35 years of age at the time of application, must possess an unblemished character with no prior criminal convictions, and must be ready to work anywhere within the country while maintaining high standards of public service integrity, discipline, and dedication.

    Application Procedure

Interested individuals should follow these steps to apply:

    1. Navigate to the official INEC recruitment portal at https://recruitment.inecnigeria.org/.
    2. Set up a personal profile using valid contact details, an active email address, and a National Identification Number.
    3. Confirm and verify the registered email address.
    4. Log into the account dashboard, review the open positions, and choose the preferred job cadre to begin the application process.
